- Spatial notes is a concept from Julian Lehrs, which he describers as being an OS-level "layer" that would prevent context switching by resurfacing information where you need it, without ever leaving the app you're in. Some interesting use-cases include:
- **Bookmarks** -- Say you bookmark a link and take a note on it, these spatial notes would appear whenever the link is mentioned online.
- **People** -- Rather than using a CRM or having notes scattered between email, their contact info in your phone, etc., spatial notes would surface whenever you see this person in your inbox, on your calendar, on LinkedIn, and so on.
- **Processes and tutorials** -- Imagine never having to train another team member. Whenever they're in your apps, contextual, spatial notes are available walking them through different processes and shortcuts. Lehrs also imagines companies sending laptops to employees with their notes pre-installed.
- I think this is a really interesting idea, and I’m desperate for it.
